VERS Magazine #13: Mentale Veerkracht was made at a moment when the Dutch film industry needed to slow down and look at itself honestly. Deadlines, uncertainty, competition and the pressure to always be creating the conditions that make this work exciting are often the same ones that wear people down.

The issue brought together filmmakers, writers and creators to share personal perspectives on stress, boundaries, intuition and recovery. Not with easy answers, but with an invitation to pause. To follow your own rhythm in a sector that never stops.

Contributors include screenwriter and content creator Samya Hafsaoui, a duo interview with filmmakers Morris Maturbongs and Sahil Amar Aïssa, a portrait of @filmacademie.memes, and essays on film as a last refuge for attention to language and success, and the virtual future of XR filmmaking.
