Intimacy coordination

Working with intimate content
Intimate scenes are some of the most technically and emotionally complex moments in any production. When they're well coordinated, that freedom shows: in the performances, in the direction, and in the way an audience receives what they're watching. A scene made with joy carries that energy past image and sound.
As an intimacy coordinator, I support directors, actors, and production teams in preparing and executing scenes involving simulated sex, nudity, kissing, physical exposure, or emotional vulnerability. I help align expectations early, open the right conversations, and create the conditions where everyone can do their best work.
My approach is grounded in haptonomy, the study of human affectivity and in NVC methodology, which together shape how I read a room, map what a scene asks of its characters, and build from trust as the foundation. I also bring something less common to this work: I've been on the other side of the camera, as an actor and a producer. That means I understand what's at stake creatively, and what it takes to keep a production moving forward.
