About me

nice to meet you

I started working in the industry around 2015, coming up in a lot of different assisting roles behind the scenes across productions for film, television and festivals. I had a front-row seat to the kind of behaviour that doesn't really benefit anyone nor the project, and to what happens when power goes unchecked in a creative environment. The quest to learn how to better harmonize these atmospheres stayed with me.

In 2024 I joined the growing community of Dutch intimacy coordinators, learning from the pioneers who built their practice in North America and here in Belgium and the Netherlands, teaming up when the opportunity presented itself. Finding this work felt like finding something that could actually change something. To make space for people to be present, to commit, and to do their best work without having to manage something unspoken at the same time. A project thrives when everyone in the room can focus on what they actually came there to do.

My practice is deepened by studies in haptonomy, the study of human affectivity and felt contact, which quietly shapes how I read a room and build trust quickly. I believe a camera registers far more than what you can see or hear. Presence, that unconscious ease that comes from feeling safe and heard, is something an audience feels without knowing why. That's what I come to set to help create.

Other work

Alongside my IC work, I'm editor-in-chief at VERS, a platform for filmmakers where peers and professionals exchange knowledge and experiences.

Outside of work you'll find me dancing. At home, on a dancefloor somewhere between Milkshake and Dekmantel, or taking a dance break halfway through a hike in nature.

Queer nightlife and the communities that keep it alive have always been close to my heart. Being part of that movement feels like part of the same work.
