Katja (Damaris de Jong) is on a surf holiday with her friends when a boy she is drawn to joins the group. The days unfold the way a summer holiday should: beach, sea, surfing, campfires, laughter. Then, during a paragliding trip, an instructor touches Katja without her consent. What should have been a sweet memory is quietly changed by it.

Working with director Louka Hoogendijk kicked off with a warm welcome on a windy beach day. Her rhythm and way of working are easy to fall into, and the openness with which she shared her vision for this personal project made the collaboration feel generous from the start.

IC Milou van Sommeren led the preparation for this project, which meant that by shoot day everything was secure and well in place. Working against the elements on the beach, cast and crew found their way to the warm result the film managed to capture.
